 According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors a majority of renters say homeownership is one of their highest priorities for the future.  They are thinking more about purchasing a home now, than they have been in the past.  Also, Americans overwhelmingly believe owning a home is a good financial decision.

A survey done by the National Housing Pulse which measures consumers’ attitudes and concerns about housing opportunities, for the year 2013, showed that Americans’ outlook on the housing market is improving. It stated that 38 percent of the Americans surveyed, identified an increase in activity within their local housing market in the past year, compared to just 22 percent who reported a slowdown in activity. Those who responded were less concerned than in the past about the drop in home values and foreclosures. The survey also found that more than two-thirds of those surveyed said now is a good time to buy. Many feel despite a recent rise in mortgage rates, affordability conditions remain favorable for buyers. This of course makes sellers in a good position to sell!
